Cacophony of Cawing Crows

One of my favorite Halloween icons is the Crow.
I am easily entertained observing a gathered group
as they engage in interesting conversation.
They are raucous, cunning, organized and mischievous...
admirable traits indeed. Though their black plumage,
deadly beaks, razor sharp talons and displeasing eating
habits befriends these birds to the dark side, I find them
to be delightful characters and a welcomed distraction
from my studio window.

I love crows as well. I keep two figurines in my studio year round. They keep all my other "friends" in line. :) Theresa

I, too, am a big fan of crows for fall decorating. I have several here and there around our house during this season. Sprinkle in a few black cats, pumpkins, and a witch or two and that's Halloween in our home. ~ Sarah

I know what you mean, Melissa: Even if a crow picks all the food I´ve put on my balcony for blackbirds and blue-bonnets, I´m happy to watch her eating the delicious meal ... in fact crows are my favourite birds, I think. As I´ve just read a book about their intelligence, I´m very interested in watching them and do that quite often.
