A hairy, scary spider lives in my back yard.
I know this for sure because I've seen him.
He's so big that he doesn't need to hide.
Everyday he weaves his web and everyday
I somehow mange to blindly walk through it.
Arms flailing, frantic hopping, while screaming
like a little girl immediately follows. Someday
I'm going to relocate that eight legged nuisance
but for now he is my inspiration...

These are adorable! Did you stamp them, paint them? What? Love the use of wood.
LOL! Your spider story so reminds me of myself....I have a spider or two in the garden with the same relationship. I never thought of them as inspirtation.....hum, that for the change of direction.
Never know what you are going to learn from a someones blog post. Thanks so much!
Cheers!

Very cool!
You need a swirly stick. In the Fall, I use a stick to relocate our little friends as I am walking outside. Otherwise they end up being hair ornaments, which make neither of us happy.
ewwww...spiders....I dislike big hairy spiders...but for insperation great idea...these are cute!!!

But me I'd get my pea shooter out or my sling shot and hunt that spider down.... : )
I hate walking in to webs of spiders whether they are there or not!
We have spiders here in the NW that jump! Holy crap they scare me!!! No inspiration there.... just the screaming "Help get him off of me!!!!!"
