Nightmare before Breakfast

Woke up this morning in a state of panic until I realized it was just a dream.
It was show day, the doors were opening, the crowds came rushing in
and I had nothing prepared, not even a table to stand behind. There I was.
Just me standing, paralyzed as a wave of collectors descended upon me.
Not sure what to contribute to my unrest - the multitude of looming deadlines
before me, the passing of another calendar month, the small piece of
cake I consumed after dinner. It may very well have been this
haunting, little ghostly character that I finished up late in the evening.
All I know is that I feel a bit like Ebenezer, awakening with renewed
hope and determination to sieze the day.
